Traditional authorities in Kwame Danso in the Sene District of the Brong Ahafo region have declared their full support for the curfew imposed on them.
A 12-hour curfew was forced on the town after a clash between the citizens killed two people and the near-lynching of a Police officer.
Speaking to Citi News spokesperson for the Traditional Council Nana Yaw Owusu said the curfew would help keep the angry youth under check as their initial action was life threatening.
He however indicated that the council is considering the installment of a new chief after calm returns to the town. Meanwhile Eighty-five out of the 130 persons initially arrested in connection with last Wednesdays disturbance are to be granted bail.
Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, Mr. Kwadwo Nyamekye Marfo, told the media in Sunyani on Saturday that nothing incriminating had so far been found against them.
