President Mahama has revealed that he would not rule out arson as the one of the main causes of the recent fire outbreaks in the country.
Fire outbreaks in the first quarter of the year alone have claimed about eight lives and destroyed properties worth several millions of Ghana cedis.
According to the President, he has directed the intelligence services to look critically into the matter and cause the arrest of any persons involved in such activity.
We are having too many fires and the intelligence agencies have been asked and directed to intensify their intelligence gathering and surveillance because there indications that some of these fires go just beyond the ordinary.
"Any person or group of persons suspected to have any involvement in deliberate acts of arson are identified and punished.ďż˝
