Luck eluded two thieves on different robbery missions in Cape Coast at the weekend when they were caught red-handed by residents of Ashanti Road and Sonturk Supermarket while busily embarking on their nefarious activities.
The two unidentified thieves, believed to be in their late twenties, after their arrest by an angry mob, were attacked and killed
They were believed to hail from Efutu and Mankessim.
The thief from Efutu was reported to have stolen a goat at Kotokuraba and was apprehended and killed at Sonturk Supermarket.
The other one from Mankessim was also reported to have broken into a house at Ashanti Road near Savoy Hotel and met his untimely death when he was caught in the act.
According to an eye witnesses, even though the two robbery attacks took place at different locations, they all happened almost the same time at dawn on Friday.
The paper realised upon arriving at the two scenes that people had gathered around the deceased persons awaiting the arrival of the police to take the bodies to the morgue.
