A marriage ceremony being held at Dixcove ended on a sad note when a truck crashed into the ceremony killing four and injuring six others
The deceased, including a 28-year old pregnant woman, a student of Axim Girls Senior High School and a middle-aged woman, met their end when the Kia truck carrying a load of sachet water, experienced a break failure.
The bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the Dixcove Government Hospital morgue.
Mr Emmanuel Bentum, the Assembly Member for Lower Dixcove, told the media on Monday that the tragic accident occurred around 1500 hours on Sunday, January 10.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Samuel Osei, Ahanta West District Police Commander, told the Ghana News Agency, on Monday that the driver of the kia truck is currently at large.
However, he said, the owner of the vehicle, whose name was withheld, is assisting the police in their investigations.
