A picture of a wrongly spelt word on the dummy cheque presented to the best teacher on Teachers’ Day is causing a stir on social media with many mocking teachers in the country.
The cheque which showed the reward package for the best teacher had the word ‘prize’ wrongly spelt, or worse still, mistaken for ‘price’ by the teachers who organised the ceremony.
The dummy cheque had “Ghana Teachers Price” instead of “ Ghana Teachers Prize” boldly written on it with a picture taken with the organisers and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who was special guest of honour for the occassion.
Meanwhile, the Vice President has lauded the enormous contribution of teachers to Ghana’s socio-economic development.
