The number of COVID-19 cases in Ghana has risen to 11,118 with 3,979 recoveries in the latest update by the Disease Surveillance Department of the Ghana Health Service (GHS).
According to the GHS, while the fatality figure still remains 48, the total number of active cases has shot up to 7,091, the highest the country has recorded since the fight against COVID-19 began.
Meanwhile, 58% out of the total number of COVID-19 cases in Ghana are male whilst only 42% belong to the female gender.
Greater Accra Region still leads with the highest number of cases, 6,888, followed by the Ashanti Region with 1,989 cases.

Greater Accra Region - 6,888
Ashanti Region - 1,989
Western Region - 909
Central Region - 584
Volta Region - 212
Eastern Region - 204

Western North Region - 79
