The Electoral Commission of Ghana says it will begin the registration of Prison inmates when the final phase takes off.
The final phase of the biometric registration exercise begins on Thursday 26th April.
According to the Public Relations Officer of the commission Christian Owusu Parry, mental patients who have been declared fit by medical officers can also register from any of the centres.
Meanwhile, the commission said it may not extend the ongoing biometric registration exercise as more than fifty percent of eligible voters have registered so far.
Phase three of the exercise will end next Tuesday.
According to the commission, it is hopeful that it will exceed the projected 12 million registered voters by the end of Phase Four.
Mr. Owusu Parry, in an interview with XYZ News said the Police are yet to prosecute any offender after the arrest and prosecution of two persons at the early stages of the exercise.
