Managing Editor of the 'Daily Searchlight' newspaper, Ken Agyei Kuranchie and Lawyer Egbert Faibille, have both confirmed that they will be contesting in the upcoming parliamentary primaries of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Egbert Faibille will be contesting for the Weija/Gbawe seat whiles Ken Kuranchie will be running for the Okaikoi North constituency.
Speaking to Kwami Sefa Kayi in an interview on PEACE FM, the Private Legal Practitioner confirmed the report saying “Yes I am forty and above, I meet all the qualifications to be able to run for parliamentary office…it is a call to serve and it is a call to duty”.
The Managing Editor of the Daily Searchlight newspaper also told Kwami Sefa Kayi that he wants a different platform “to ensure that Ghanaians get the better standard of care”.
He is hopeful that his constituents will vote for him because according to him, he has stayed with them for a very long time and “most of them know me, they come to my house and given the opportunity, I will serve them”.
“Ghanaians need caring leadership. I believe the leadership in this country should be more responsive to the needs of this country…when I get that platform, I feel I can do much better than I am doing in journalism. I want to ensure that Ghanaians get the better standard of care”.
