As the New Patriotic Party prepares to bring the screening process of parliamentary aspirants to an end, Mavis Nkansah Boadu an aspiring legislator for the Afigya Sekyere East constituency, has been praised for being tactful and intelligent by the committee which took her through vetting.
D.D Djabeng, a member of the vetting committee and an NPP Council of Elder together with Hon. S.K. Boafo, chairman for the vetting committee for Zone 1 in the Ashanti Region, congratulated the aspiring MP for being able to explain to them how she plans on winning more votes for the party in the constituency.
Although the Afigya Sekyere East constituency remains a stronghold of the NPP, she managed to point out the shortfalls of the party in the area and touched on how as a legislator, she would turn things around by increasing the party’s votes in the area.
Nkansah Boadu promised to help the NPP during the 2016 election campaign by donating 100,000 party t-shirts. Aside this, she also promised to purchase cutlasses for farmers in Afigya Sekyere East since it is a farming community and a way of getting more votes.
Mavis nkansah was the last to be vetted by the committee after the incumbent MP, Hennric Yeboah and two other aspirants had gone through the same process.
She was accompanied by 350 delegates and her father, Nana Akwesi Boadu Nkansah, the chief of Nzema in the Ashanti Region and a well known financier of the NPP.
