A crowd of NDC sympathizers tumultuously welcomed Vice President Amissah-Arthur and his entourage to Dunkwa-on Offin in the Upper Denkyira East of the Central Region.
It was a night of joy as hundreds of people from the Dunkwa Zongo community waited to catch a glimpse of the Running Mate and Economic Surgeon to President John Mahama, His Excellency Vice President Kwesi Amissah -Arthur.
Some residents noted that for them to come out in their numbers at night, signifies their appreciation on the transformation change that the NDC has given to their area under his leadership of President Mahama.
In an address to the crowd, Mr Amissah-Arthur told the supporters that there’s the need to give President Mahama another term to continue with his massive infrastructure development that they have witnessed in the area.
Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur urged the rank and file of the party to go out to the communities and spread the good news in terms of the unprecedented infrastructural development by the government to the people.
He also charged them to embark on house to house campaign to ensure a “one touch” victory for the NDC.
He therefore cautioned the rank and file of the party to guard against complacency and work assiduously to ensure a win for President Mahama and the party in general.
He charged NDC foot-soldiers to offer themselves as disciples of President Mahama to spread his good deeds for the people to see and renew his mandate to continue with the development agenda.
He said President Mahama had already laid a solid foundation for the nation and what was required now was for Ghanaians to renew his mandate to continue with his transformation agenda.
Vice President Amissah-Arthur warned the NDC supporters against ‘skirt and blouse’ voting. He explained that President Mahama needs more NDC members in parliament to help him deliver on his second term mandate.
He pleaded with them to vote for their DCE Hon Emelia Ankoma, who is contesting as the NDC’s Parliamentary Candidate for the area. Judging from her track record in the area, Mr. AmissahArthur noted that she is the best choice.
Earlier, the Vice President and his team held a mini durbar at Kyekyewere in Denkyira East to interact with the chiefs and people of the area. He informed them of his mission in the town and to take time to inspect the completed E block Senior High School at Kyekyewere.
