The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, is wondering why the ruling government set up the Komenda sugar factory if they knew "sugar was not goood"
This follows the "reckless" comments made by Chief of Staff of the Mahama administration, Julius Debrah, who, whilst campaigning in the Brong Ahafo Region, urged Ghanaians to stop patronizing made-in-Ghana fruit juice beverage, Kalyppo.
According to Nana Akufo-Addo, after killing Ghanaian businesses in the last 8 years because of poor policies, the Mahama government is now actively campaigning to collapse Ghanaian businesses, which employ thousands of people across the country.
“I have heard one of Mahama’s appointees (Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah) saying that Ghanaians should no longer consume Kalyppo because it contains sugar. So after killing Ghanaian businesses, they are now campaigning to make sure that no one patronises made-in-Ghana products, and thereby collapse Ghanaian businesses? Ghanaians should not pay heed to such loose-talk from officials of the Mahama government,” he said while addressing a mammoth night rally at Kwadaso, on Thursday, October 20, 2016, at the end of day-2 of his 4 day campaign tour of the Ashanti Region.
Nana Akufo-Addo continued, “If, indeed, sugar was bad, why have they set up the Komenda sugar factory, a factory they have made so much noise about? To them, sugar is bad and, yet, they spent so much money on the Komenda sugar factory, which is not even working? This propaganda will not work.”

This response from nana Addo means he is not smart at all. He talks like a child. The chief of staff was only saying sugar is not something good for the aged. We have children and young women and men who use sugar and it's not going to affect them adversely until they are old. Even old men can use sugar once in a while, but generally speaking sugar is not good for the elderly. This health matter. This is pure common sense, it has nothing to do with why Ndc build a sugar factory. This dumb man want to be president.
My fellow COUNTRY MEN what the Chief of Staff said and THOSE TALKING KALYPPO were PURELY POLITICAL TALK and for that matter PROPAGANDA. It will NOT wash at this time one and a half to the Election. My parents in the Volta use even sugar for koko, obrayo etc.
A SAID IT.....NANA ADDO IS THE DUMMBEST POLITICAL LEADER EVER
Mr Akufu Addo you are very wrong. The spate at which an elderly person like you consumes kalypo is very dangerous. Even a class 1 pupil clearly understands that as you advance in age especially after 40yrs of age your sugar intake should be noticeably reduced. If you think that is not good an advice you can co ahead and consume them in buckets and you will see where you will be in just 3days. A word to a wise is enough.
NANA ADDO, AT HIS AGE NO ONE HAS TO TELL HIM WHAT TO DO. IF HE THINKS TAKING IN SWEETS ARE OKAY FOR HIM, FAIR ENOUGH. HE SHOULD GO AHEAD.
There is difference between sugar and kalyppo. You can not use kalyppo to prepare koko or milo. Sugar has many uses than you so call kalyppo.
SO NANA ADDO IS GAMBLING WITH HIS OWN HEALTH FOR THE SAKE OF POLITICS??????? WELL,,, HE WHO IS DOWN FEARS NO FALL,,,, BUT AT LEAST A BIT OF ADVISE COULD HELP. IN THAT THE MANUFACTURES OF CIGGERATE KNEW SMOKING IS A BAD HABIT AND CAN BE INJURIOUS TO HEALTH, HENCE THE ADVISE ''Ciggerate smoking can be harmful to your health'' SO NANA ADDO SHOULD TAKE A QUEUE FROM THIS WITH RESPECT TO SUGAR AND HIS AGE. THAT HIS BODY CHEMISTRY IS NO LONGER CAPABLE OF SECRETING ENOUGH ENZYMES TO NEUTRALIZE EXCESSIVE SUGAR INTAKES, HENCE JULIUS DEBRAH'S CANDID ADVISE. BUT HOW CAN ONE TAKE IT??? SINCE THE MAN HIMSELF IS BEDEVILED WITH SPASMS OF AILMENTS SO MUCH SO THAT HE NEEDS TO RUN FOR CHECK UPS IN ABROAD EVERY NOW AND THEN.
Nana Please, This analysis should never have come from you, this is like what the Englishman would call it a "A Pub Talk", analysis for lower minds, this is below the expected level of brain power needed to ascend presidency. Please Nana, be guided by your rhetoric's on platform as, if you are not careful, you may reinvent science
JULIUS FOO.L-ISH DEBRAH IS FUU.LI.ER THAN JM.
npp should merge with ppp to raise funds since ppp is pro npp. the merged party name should be called etpp = equal tribe popular party
