Emmanuel Kotin, the Head of Programs at the African Centre For Security and Counter Terrorism has expressed disgust at the unruly manner in which President Mahama was hooted at, in Mahyia, yesterday.
To him, it is a disrespect to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II for anyone to attempt denting the one week observation of the passing of his mother, who happens to be the Asantehemaa.
Even though its less than a month to the general elections, Mr. Kotin is of the view that partisan politicking should have no place at the funeral grounds of the Asantehemaa, and leaders of political parties must therefore take appropriate action to prevent a recurrence.
" . . it is absolutely unruly for anyone to hoot at the President at such a function. We are in a political season, yes, but it does not mean there is break down in power. The authority and prestige of the Asante people must not be allowed to be brought this low by a few political elements who would want to take advantage of every occasion to misbehave."
"No one is above the law and what took place in Manhyia yesterday was an eyesore which political leaders must make sure doesn't happen again. We must know when to do politics and when to respect authority," he said on UTV's 'Adekye Nsroma'.

" . . it is absolutely unruly for anyone to hoot at the President at such a function. We are in a political season, yes, but it does not mean there is break down in power.". Well spoken chief Security Expect. But I am not sure i heard your reaction when NDC thugs massed up in front of the NPP Flag bearer's residence and went berserk, through all sorts of missiles into his compound. That did not count as security concern, abi? We shall know them by their deeds.
you see why people will continue to hate Ashanti's is because of their village behaviors, please you guys are not above any tribe in ghana shame on u guys. npp is not asanteman property why
Security expert indeed!!!!!! Check your political ***barred word***!!!!!
if you are sick and tired of ashantis you can move to another country. Nothing is blocking your way.
These are some of the comments and actions that keep the NPP and its leader far from leading the country. You should change for the better or you forever remain in opposition. If you really think the battle is the lord's then I'm afraid God detests such actions,a word to a wise is enough.JM toasooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ton.
Yes I am in support of that, where is driven at is very, very bad. especially the Ashante think that Ghana belong to them alone. we are sick and tired of them,Our leader must rise to check this bad conduct of our youth day.
It is unfortunate but it is a well deserved hooting. Which is one is more disrespectful for the president to pitch tribes against each other for votes. How does the President think the people of Kumasi feel when he goes up north and then pitches NPP, Ashantis and northerners against each other just for votes. Do you think you will get a good reception?. Common on, this is common sense.
Compare your people to the Ashanti's: assess all aspects of the lives of the two and comment again. You can't beat them so join them or ***barred word***.
Point well made. Very unruly and despicable our actions are becoming of-late. Thanks to the political heads who for greed, selfishness, and their corrupt nature watch all these pass without a word to shape their supporters up. Self acclaimed best journalists of our time who double as speakers for the vulnerable in the society are all mute on this. You know nothing but for opportunities you have had to flaunt your pride and skin-pain selves on the vulnerable listener. Please shape up as worthy fighters for justice and moral uprightness. Non is beyond reproach, not even the president some of these sorry ***barred word*** denigrate at every opportunity on the airwaves. You are gradually loosing that undeserved respect if you are brilliant to see. Shape up before it is late. It's sad
No wonder only ashantis will only do this. It's a disgrace to ur so call kingdom, Ashantis with their kokoasi behaviours. Shame to all Ashantis hoooooooo
