NDC Member of Parliament for Ablekuma Central, Theophilus Tetteh Chai has blamed political figures in the country for the post-election violence dominating news headlines.
According to him, politicians in the country are supposed to be role models for their followers.
Hon. Tetteh Chai, speaking on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, condemned the violence carried out by some faceless people after the December elections, and asked the perpetrators to cease their act forthwith.
He advised politicians to set the right examples "to shape the society. We need to show the way so that our supporters will follow what we’re doing. But when you look at most of the indiscipline especially within the political circles is as a result of our (politicians) inability to guide to our members as to what is right and what is wrong.”
