President Akufo-Addo has been advised to seize the moment and take the moral high ground to apologize to Ghanaians on the debacle of portions of his inaugural speech.
Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC), Koku Anyidoho, speaking on Kasapa FM, indicated that for the President to have publicly read a plagiarized quote from another public personality, without credit to the originator, it is critical for him not to withdraw from speaking to the issue himself.
Social media has been awash with some quotes in Nana Addo’s speech, believed to have been lifted from speeches originally made by two former American Presidents – Woodrow Wilson and Clinton.
President, Akufo-Addo in his inaugural speech that has been widely commended, quoted Thomas Woodrow Wilson, an American politician and academic who served as the 28th President of the United States from 1913 to 1921.
“We are bound by ideals that teach us what it means to be citizens. Every child must be taught these ideals. Every citizen must uphold them…. I ask you to be citizens. Citizens, not spectators. Citizens, not subjects. Responsible citizens building communities of service and a nation of character.” Wilson said in a speech in 1913.
An apology from the Communication Bureau of the Presidency has been released in the media for the blunder caused, over the portions of President Akufo-Addo’s inaugural speech, which clearly did not acknowledge the sources of the quotes he used during his investiture.
But, Anyidoho commenting on the issue said the matter is beyond the remit of a mere communicator- Eugene Arhin, hence the President must be responsible to “apologize himself with his voice.”

This buffon will not cease to amaze me. This boy full of himself has not learned any lesson after that humiliating defeat.
***barred word***, go back to your books to learn better before you talk.
NANA SHOULD APOLOGISE TO YOUR MOTHER. YOU ARE STILL NOT ASHAMED OF YOURSELF
Koku Anyidoho thinks the ndc is still in power so he can continue to bark like a mad dog. Koku, the earlier you stop these things the better.Tell you what, there can never be any plagiarism in a spoken language. There can be plagiarism only when something like an invention of an item or a technology etc. But then when it comes to spoken language there can never be any plagiarism for no one can claim ownership to any day to day spoken language. For instance if somebody says" I am going to eat" now and later another person says " I am going to eat" can you say that the second person has plagiarized?Koku grow up, keep your mouth shut and wait whether you will not be candidate for Nsawam prisons like your fellow corrupt NDC members.
Pls Mr.big mouth if I were u i would be worry about Private prosecutor and advice my people to put their documents intact rather and also how to link Papaa J,to tell Nana to be soft on his NDC 3&4,rather than this ***barred word*** things.
This morning on Peace FM, Nii Amassah Namoale the defeated NDC MP for La Dadekotopon reduced himself to a nitwit as he displayed the level to which the NDC has sunk as an irresponsible opposition only two days in opposition. No wonder Koku Anyidoho is displaying the same character traits.
Koku, i dont remember hearing Mahama apologize for the misprint in the independence brochure. Where wer you pls. Do u know how serious it ws to say the president of the Republic of Ghana is Uhuru Kenyata. Go tell Mahama to apologize first.
Thankfully Ghanaians are done with Koku Anyidoho and his like. Ghana has voted foe change and no amount of screaming from the roof top will revers that decision. Its the choice for Koku Anyidoho top continue excersising this kind of behavior everyday in the coming four years.
you think speech making is WEE SMOKING,KWASIAS.
Koku, do you think this government Is going to be ran like yours where your president turned to be PRO for the presidency, where he comes out to react to every trivial issue that concerned him. we have grown pass that era so stop the arrogance and watchout how government is being ran. A word to the wise is enough.
