The Editor-In-Chief of the Insight Newspaper, Kwasi Pratt Jnr. has made a shocking revelation that the alleged bribe money originally payed to the members of the Vetting Committee of Parliament to induce them approve Energy Minister-designate, Boakye Agyarko was a whooping GHS100,000.
According to him, only three MPs have so far come public for receiving GHS3,000 each out of the amount, therefore there is the possibility that more MPs might have benefitted from larger amounts as their shares of the allege ‘bribe’.
Speaking on Peace FM Morning Show, the astute Journalist analyzed that, investigation into the matter could even prove that the money maybe be more than GH100,000 as being speculated.
“In all this saga, what we have all heard is that the amount of money that went as bribe to the committee was GHS100,000. And when three people go sharing GHS100,000 there will be some left. Maybe investigation could even prove that the money was more than GHS100,000,” he told the host.
Mr. Pratt who sounded to have more inside information on the saga intimated that, Alhaji Muntaka, the Asawase MP can no longer hold himself as a Minority Chief Whip in parliament if investigations establish any truth in the whole bribery scandal.
He also added that, he is particularly worried about the controversy surrounding the appointment of Mr Boakye Agayrko since there is no single evidence to establish that the said bribe money came directly from him.
“It is a bit strange that five good MPs have come out to admit they took the money but returned it and yet people are claiming it’s not true. If it were to be just one MP it could be easy to rubbish the allegations but for five MPs to conspire and lie against Alhaji Muntaka because they don’t like him then I think it calls for investigations," Mr Pratt submitted.
The Bawku Central MP Mahama Ayariga on Friday January 27 alleged that, Boakye Agyarko, Minister of Energy, whose approval was frozen pending the determination of certain issues, dished out GHS3000 as bribe to each of the minority members on the committee with the aim to influence them so they approve his nomination without further delay.
Mr Ayariga claimed the money was given to Committee Chair Joe Osei-Owusu by Mr Agyarko, who in turn channelled it through Minority Chief Whip Muntaka Mubarak to the MPs, who, according to the Bawku Central MP, subsequently rejected it.
Other two MPs backing the bribery allegations against Mr Agyarko are Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa and Alhassan Suhuyini.

At long last the Good LORD has jettisoned you and your corrupt create loot and share regime of ***barred word***. SHuT YOU PROBOSIS. you ***barred word*** man.
folks forget about this non entity who is trying hard to restore some dignity to his lost reputation. He has thrown his credibility to the Dogs
WE KNOW YOU FROM ADAMS . JEALOUSY WILL SURELY KILL YOU.
This is a grandfather with sharp teeth. He is so upset about the loss of the NDC that he will do anything to discredit the current government . The freebies you used to enjoy under the previous government are now a thing of the past. As s senior journalist you need to be objective but balanced as well . Don't speak when you don't have anything credible to say .
Ablakwa,Suhuyini, Ayariga and and Kwasi Pratt are Radio Gold mafias. No wonder they believe they cook this bribery story. Kwasi, why do you hate NPP like that. Is it because of Woyome money given to you? IS IT because of the V8 given to you by the NDC? We know that your 100 copies news paper can not make you to buy V8.
Is this man out of the RAT HOLE? A liar like YOU. Kwesi this will never save your image because you're CROOK and you're A TREAT to this country. What is 100.000 cedis bribe to KWESI PRATT. Massa Kwesi is telling us the money is too small because under MAHAMA he took more than this.Kwesi allow God to lead you
On December 3rd 2016 Kwesi Pratt predicted at Radio Gold that NPP would lose the elections so miserably that its leaders would have hearts attacks and so all hospitals and ambulances should get ready to take care of them. He failed miserably and has not had the courtesy to apologize. Of course he would be very happy to hear anything that will illegitimize the success of Nana Akufo Addo's government. Was he there when the money was given to Muntaka? I heard him say on Peace FM yesterday that the money was sent through the motorway. He is the friend of Suhuyini, Ayariga and Okudzeto Ablakwa. What should we expect? Kwesi Pratt is over 60 years old and I guess he expects the younger jounalists to learn from him. He is so bent on fighting against the new admin because of the free money he was receiving from John and Ibrahim Mahama monthly. I never heard Kwesi criticizing the Mills / Mahama admin throughout the eight years of massive corruption in that administration. No matter what they will do, Kingsford Sumana Gbagbin, Haruna Idrisu and Muntaka Mubarak will remain leaders in parliament. The Mahama faction must know that he was given all the support but he failed massively by his unbridled corruption which has almost collapsed the country's economy. The national debt has moved from GHS9billion in 2009 to GHS120billion in 2016.
This is a grownup with sharp teeth. Woyome is coming for his 2000.
