Director of Communications at the presidency, Eugene Arhin says over 200 official cars are nowhere to found at the seat of government, Flagstaff House.
The cars, which he said are part of the presidential pool of official vehicles, are missing from the Flagstaff House garage.
Subsequently, he said, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been forced to use a 2007 model of a saloon car within Accra.
“President Akufo Addo is currently using a 2007 BMW model purchased by the state during the Ghana @50 celebrations...That is what he is using. So where are the cars?” he questioned.
Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show dubbed Ghana Montie Eugene Arhin intimated that the president, when going on a long journey outside the capital, uses his own private vehicle for such official duties.
“Just this last week Saturday, the president had to use his private Land Cruiser for an official duty in Kyebi. That is the same Land Cruiser he used during the campaign time” he told host Kwesi Aboagye
He strongly held the belief that government’s decision to set up a committee to retrieve state assets suspected to be in the possession of some individuals in the previous administration will yield fruitful results.

This story by Eugene Arhin is very strange. So what was the whole transition process about?Granted there are 200 missing cars;did the NPP transition side ask the NDC side about the list of cars and their whereabouts? If yes he should have added that information. If no then its the usual NPP mischief where they pick one side of the story and use their media cabal to court public sympathy.200 CARS at the presidency cannot just vanish. And now the impression is being created that the President is virtually 'walking' or using an 'unsafe' car to do his job.Where are all the v8 Mahama used to use.Can they all vanish like that...not even one for the current president to use???? This story does not add up to me.
The beginning of hallucination by NPP, so is it because of the 200 cars that's why Nana is driving his private car? do the other ministers have cars? did the former president leave his presidential fleet or they have also been taken them away? Eugene, you are disgracing the pedigree of the office you are holding. are you saying nana Addo is waiting for one of those cars to be allocated to him as his official car? Please speak with reasonable level of common sense and do not disgrace those who appointed you, unless off course they share your plagiarized views. Serve the role with a level of maturity and never underestimate the mindset of the Ghanaian. have a good day.
This is a very simple case to solve,if I was the President all I will do is to sanction that if caught with government car you will deemed to have stolen it, and will be charged in addition with the commercial cost of renting that car from 7th January 2017 till date.
You don't seem to find anything wrong with what NDC have done. The 200 cars could have been given to hospitals to improve service delivery. Well, for your information, Teacher and Nurses training allowances will be restored next month. If you are one of them, that will alleviate the hardship. If you are not, there are other plans in the near future that you will benefit from. Just be patient and act as a citizen of you really voted for Nana
Nppfo na ***barred word***, the gentleman called Fii was only teasing you, that was why he posed the question, " did I read". He was only trying to bait fuulls like Joey and co to respond, and he has gotten you to do exactly want he wanted. You can't even identify a joke from seriousness of
In one of your Kookrokoo programs, you purported to say that the Task Force action should have been preceded by letters from Chief of Staff to all those found to be in possession of any of the cars. Well, I think the official statement issued by the Chief of Staff, advising those concerned to return the cars was enough. Some media houses carried that public statement. I would have thought that you would advise all those people to return the cars. In my view, anyone found in possession of any of the cars should be prosecuted. At least I did not hear of anyone in the erstwhile Obama administration take away any state car home. We Ghanaians seem to tolerate wrongdoing of a sort, what mercy should we show to those people, after the statement by the Chief of Staff. They have to be prosecuted!! GAHANAINS GENERALLY DON'T WANT TO DO THE RIGHT THING SO WE MUST PAY FOR OUR DISOBEDIENCE.
Those NDC sh#it#head#s mustbe jailed for stealing state-owned cars.
Eye nam pii! Open your eyes and read well before you expose the size of your brain!
To the stupido f001 that calls himself Fii.Which school did you attend? This is why it is said that the NDC and its cohorts cannot read and when they do they do not understand what they read.Where in the article your dummy self read was it said that Nana Addo bought the 2007 BMW for himself?I am indeed shocked and surprised that there are people on this platform supporting this naked robbery of the state of Ghana. These animals seek political office for one thing alone and that is to l00t.The Nana Addo administration ought to be ruthless and chase these thi3ves to the gates of hell if possible. I ask you folks, how did Kofi Adamu who was not even a government employee come by 5 vehicles?
If Kofi Adams had been put before court for being in possession of state assert we wouldn't have this problems by now. It would've served as a deterrent
