Director of Communications at the presidency, Eugene Arhin says over 200 official cars are nowhere to found at the seat of government, Flagstaff House.
The cars, which he said are part of the presidential pool of official vehicles, are missing from the Flagstaff House garage.
Subsequently, he said, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been forced to use a 2007 model of a saloon car within Accra.
“President Akufo Addo is currently using a 2007 BMW model purchased by the state during the Ghana @50 celebrations...That is what he is using. So where are the cars?” he questioned.
Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show dubbed Ghana Montie Eugene Arhin intimated that the president, when going on a long journey outside the capital, uses his own private vehicle for such official duties.
“Just this last week Saturday, the president had to use his private Land Cruiser for an official duty in Kyebi. That is the same Land Cruiser he used during the campaign time” he told host Kwesi Aboagye
He strongly held the belief that government’s decision to set up a committee to retrieve state assets suspected to be in the possession of some individuals in the previous administration will yield fruitful results.

Another tactics to divert attention from high standard of living, the story is a lie, they should go and ask their transition team. Ghanaians are not foooooooools. Even in Government they are still fabricating stories. wise up NPP wise up
THIS GOVT IS NOT SERIOUS.YOU LIKE COMPLAINING TOO MUCH.IT SEEMS LIKE THEY ARE AFRAID OF NDC PPLE.DO YOU WANT GHANAIANS TO GO FOR THE CARS FOR YOU?YOU WENT FOR KOFI ADAMS CAR AND LATER YOU WERE BEGGING HIM.LET THE FORMER CHIEF OF STAFF ANSWER FOR IT.YOU NEED TO STOP COMPLAINING AND DO ACTION AND LET GHANAIANS KNOW YOU ARE ON TOP.JAIL
Aah! this is an easy thing to do...let the set up committee begin the retrieval of these alleged vehicles. Those found to have tampered with the chassis numbers should be treated as criminals and make the legal framework within which power is exercised to take its natural course. Period!
I think the current government is just not serious. You have been in power for a month now and you can not trace 200 cars??? Then what can you trace?? The corruption of the previous government??? am simply amazed and think Ghana will once again be the loser. I expect the government to retrieve all these cars within a week else i will not see how they can uncover and retrieve all our stolen monies for the people of Ghana.
And do the missing cars include my favourite 'FORD Expedition' gift from the Burkinabe contractor of which we are told by OMANE BOAMAH that it has been added to the presidential car pool?
I DONT GET. WHAT ARE THE CIVIL AND THE PUBLIC SERVANTS? THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO KEEP RECORDS OF ALL STATE ASSETS IN VARIOUS MINISTRIES, DEPARTMENTS AND AGENCIES. IS THIS TOO HARD TO DO. THE TECHNOCRAT ARE THOSE LETTING THE COUNTRY DOWN AND NOT POLITICIANS.
WITH SUCH A SERIOUS ISSUE LIKE THIS, INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE UNCHANGEABLE WHEN IT COMES POLITICS WILL ALWAYS SEE NOTHING WRONG ABOUT THE MISSING CARS. I PITY MYSELF HAVING BEEN RESPONSIBLE BY PAYING MY TAXES AND THEN MISUSED AND STOLEN BY MAHAMA AND HIS NDC. GOD BLESS YOU ALL
IF THIS STORY IS TRUE THEN NDC AND JOHN MAHAMA DOES NOT HAVE THIS COUNTRY AT HEART.THIS IS A BAD PRACTICE AND WICKED,IS THAT THE REASON HE WANTED THAT HOUSE WHEN THEY HAVE TAKEN ALL THE CARS AWAY THIS IS BAD AND WICKED.WE HAVE TO CHASE THEM AND COLLECT THE CARS.
Please people let us put polities aside, how can we ran a country like the way ndc did.How can country not have inventory of it's fix assets.i think it's about time people are brought to book .
you should start jailing them and they would surrender the cars and money. NDC is a gang of thiefs who should not be spared
