The Member of Parliament (MP) for Tamale North Constituency in the Northern Region claims his presence in Parliament is making some New Patriotic Party MPs uncomfortable.
Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini has observed that “it is the mindset of some people on Majority side, not all of them, that some people do not deserve to be in parliament and by whatever standard, I am unable to tell”.
The Tamale North MP cited MP for Manhyia South, Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh and Ablekuma West, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, whom he claimed rained insults on him during a debate on the floor of Parliament on Thursday, 30 March 2017 after the Joe Ghartey Committee delivered the report on the bribery scandal.
The MP alleged that whilst the Education Minister, Dr Opoku Prempeh referred to him as “mad” and other “unprintable words”, Communications Minister, Urusla Owusw-Ekuful also hurled insults at him at the same time.
Explaining further on Onua FM’s Yen Nsempa hosted by Bright Asempa on Monday, Mr. Suhuyini said “no one is in that house on the basis of mercy.
Everyone conducted a campaign, got elected by the electorate to represent a constituency so it is not for another person who feels big in his shoes to determine who his colleague in that house is”. He said “I am tempted to believe that the fact that some of us are in that house are eating some people up.
Well, I can’t help them. I am sorry. I was voted by the good people of the Tamale North and I am grateful for that and they have to learn to accept that fact”.
Hypocrisy
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) law maker accused those who criticized him when they saw his video on social media on his reactions to Dr. Opoku Prempeh of being hypocrites.
“I find it hypocritical on the part of all those who insulted me and criticized me.
They should have found out what triggered my actions. When the video went viral on Sunday, those who criticized me did not find out what triggered my actions. Even the Majority Leader didn’t ask that question. Nobody asked that question.
But when Hon Napo’s video came out, they started asking what could have prompted Napo to do that and that is hypocritical”. He maintained, “Hon Napo scornfully insulted me. I was clearly attacked for doing nothing. It was an unprovoked attacked”

RECENT DEVELOPMENT AT GHANA PARLIAMENT CLEARLY SHOW THAT SOME MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT HAVE JUST COME TO THE HOUSE TO DISRUPT PARLIAMENTARY PROCESS. THE UGLYYYY AND UNRULY BEHAVIOR OF SOME OF THE NEW PARLIAMENTARIANS IS DISGRACEFULLLLL TO WHAT HAD HITHERTO BEEN CONSIDERED AS AN AUGUST HOUSE. THE ***barred word*** AND UNFOUNDED ALLEGATION HAS PORTRAYED SOME MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE AS BEING NOT SERIOUS, UNCOMMITTED TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE NATION AND WASTING THE PRECIOUS TIME OF PARLIAMENT, THE NATION AND THE GOVERNMENT. IF THE PARLIAMENT DOES NOT STOP THIS DISHONORABLE BEHAVIOR GHANAIANS WILL NOT TAKE THEM SERIOUS. WE THE CITIZENS SHALL IGNORE THEM AND ENCOURAGE THE GOVERNMENT TO FOCUS ON THE AGENDA TO MOVE THE NATION FORWARD. WHAT IS HAPPENING AT THE PARLIAMENT NOW PORTRAYS THEM LIKE CHILDREN AND SCHOOLBOYS AND GIRLS WHO KNOW NOTHING IN LIFE THAN TO ASK AND TAKE MONEY FROM THEIR PARENTS TO SPEND IT ANY HOW. WE EXPECT MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT TO SHOW MATURITY. IT IS SAD THAT WHAT IS HAPPENING AT PARLIAMENT IS AFFECTING ALL IN THE HOUSE BUT IN FACT THERE ARE MANY RESPECTABLE MEN AND WOMEN IN THE HOUSE. UNFORTUNATELY THE BEHAVIORS OF SAM GEAORGE AND SUHIYINI, NEW ENTRANTS, ARE DISGUSTING. THE PARLIAMENT HAS CHANGED MANY PEOPLE WHO BEFORE COMING TO THE HOUSE WERE REGARDED AS ***barred word***. THOUGH WE HAVE NOT SEEN MUCH CHANGE IN AYARIGA AND OKOJATO ABLAKWA, NO ONE CAN DOUBTE THE SIGNIFICANT IMPACT OF PARLIAMENT TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF FIIFI KWERTEY AND KWASHIEGA.

Ssstttuupit northerner who are you and which aanimal are you to intimidate who??? ndc is the only party you can fit in with this your arrogance and the party is not learning anything to curve the symptoms of the humiliating election defeat. Are you at all richer than any of the NPP MPs? You're KABONYA paa!
Suhuyini attitude, utterances and actions clearly show signs of a person with inferiority complex. We watch him carefully and he exhibits that characteristics forcefully. We had not wanted to state it but we thought he would learn gradually and overcome the complex character but he had declared it himself. His actions clearly betray him as one who wants to get attention, typically of a person with a complex character. It can also be said that Suhuyini feel threaten by Parliament from not only NPP domination and tough personalities but his own NDC colleagues. He is a novice at Parliament and therefore thinks that he must show to his NDC colleagues that he must not be taken for granted as a new comer. He must need to change his attitude and grow over his complexity lest he would get into trouble with all including those in his own party.
My brother, behave like a good muslim and a role model to the young ones in our muslim communities. Remember, the Quran frowns on arrogance. Your posture so far is not good.May Allah bless and guide our president Nana Addo and our vice president Alhaji Bawunia. May Allah bless our homeland Ghana. Ameen.
This man thinks more highly of himself than he really is. For him to even think, not to talk of publicly assert, that his presence in Parliament is intimi-dating some minority Members, sounds over-assuming on his part. I don't believe he is such a big fish as he thinks of himself, nor do I believe any parliamentarian considers him so significant as to feel intimi-dated by him. If at all any Member of Parliament feels anything like that about him, then I think it is rather because they fear that given his war-like, know-it-all deportment, he will likely instigate a major con-flict; and thus they are being too cautious (or rather too sensitive). If this is the case, then some of those who feel "uneasy" might be feisty and looking for an opportunity for him (Mr Suhini) to bring it on, whiles others may be secretly afraid for Mr Suhini's fate and do not wish to be involved with him. So, yes, some Members may be uncomfortable about Mr Suhini's presence, but that could be because they fear for his future given his overly con-ceited aura (which is the most probable case in my opinion), rather than because they think he is such a wonderful young man. Remember former deputy minister of information in the last government, Murtala Mohammed? He was likewise too hot-headed and ego-istic. Unfortunately, Mr. Suhini appears to be his well-suited successor.
This guy is sick. He is just a liability to the Parliament. Anyway, Gh Parliament is ***barred word***! Waa look at deals to have approved!
You're not at all vain, are you? Go ask Fiifi Kwetey. He also promised to come to parliament and 'silence' the NPP speakers. He ended up saying nothing. Sil.ly bunch.
You can only represent ndc, period!
It is rather Your NDC members who are not comfortable with your presence. This is as a result of pride and arrogant you continuously exhibit
