The General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketia popularly known as General Mosquito has questioned President Akufo-Addo on why he has not retrieved the GH¢51.2 million judgement debt from businessman Alfred Woyome as promised if he claims there is no money in the state coffers.
It would be recalled that President Nana Addo addressing the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) in a meeting (amidst rumours of strike from the various workers Union) told them to be patient as his government will address all their grievances .
Nana Addo explained that, his government's inability to settle its obligations to them(UTAG) is due to the fact that the past government misappropriated the finances of the state.
Deliberating on his view in connection with Nana Addo's claims, Mr. Asiedu Nketiah reiterated in an interview with Akwasi Boateng, host of 'Maakye' on Accra-based Hot93.9fm that, he does not see the reason why the President has still not retrieved the state's money from Woyome as he promised in order to use it to manage the finances of the state:
"When he was in opposition, he said the economy was in a bad state and even said during his campaign tour that he will revive the country's economy. And after voting for him, he comes to give us the excuse that the economy is in a bad state so he can't pay government workers, then he should fulfill his promise to retrieve the judgement debt from Woyome to solve the problems." Asiedu Nketia stated passionately to Akwasi Boateng.
He emphasized that, "the President who was then Flagbearer of the NPP was aware that the economy was in a bad state but he still went ahead to make big promises. He went on to announce to Ghanaians on his campaign tours that the state's economy had crumbled. So if he knew all this, what money was he planning on using to fulfill all those promises",
Asiedu Nketia concluded that,"When the NDC was in power, the NPP was always in support when workers went on strike. The President should do the job for which he was voted for and stop the excuses."

This is what Kweku Baako refers to as ***barred word*** binti analysis
You dont feel ashamed for glorifying a "tiff"
Simply and short. Retrieve Woyome's money and that which the President and NPP claimed were stolen and use that to pay UTAG and other workers. This is common sense and not rocket science.
Over to you, Nana. Why you're quite on this Woyome scanal is baffling. What plans do you have for retrieving the tax payers money from this man?
Self-seeking interests only. You are pityful
Asiedu, what is wrong with the economy? didn't you insult the NPP when they were telling Ghanaians your party had messed up the economy when you were in government? Why do you want it fixed now? Do you now accept it is messed up? What a ***barred word*** you are.
