Newly elected National Women's Organizer for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Hannah Bissiw, has said, Ghanaians are currently disappointed in the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), for failing to make them feel better in 18 months after winning power.
The former minister under the previous NDC government said, nobody forced the president to tell Ghanaians he was going to change their fortunes in 18 months.
He made that promise but has failed woefully in delivering on that promise.
Using the Ghanaians are suffering mantra used by the NPP during the campaign season in 2016, Dr. Bissiw said, go and speak to doctors they will tell you they are suffering, go and speak to nurses, they will tell you they are suffering.
Go to teacher and nursing trainees, they will tell you they are suffering and feel disappointed that, this administration deceived them. Go and speak to importers and the business community, they will tell you they are suffering. Go to cocoa farmers and find out the struggles they are going through."
Go to contractors and drivers and find out from them what they make of this administration. From the assessment we have done, we strongly believe that, the NDC is going to win the 2020 race and deliver Ghanaians from their current struggles.
"Commenting on the president's claim that, Ghana will continuously borrow to develop the country, she said, I am shocked because the NPP told us they will not borrow but what do we see today?
Speaking on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5 with host Kwame Tutu, she slammed the government for failing to stabilize the cedi against the dollar like they promised.
"The NPP was not forced to make these promises. They told us they had the men and were going to provide us with better leadership yet, the incompetence exhibited by the NPP is extreme. We are hopeful Ghanaians will give us the opportunity to serve them in 2020. Ghanaians know the NDC is the best party to deliver them form their hardship."
Touching on her victory she expressed gratitude to all delegates, leaders of the party and God Almighty and has promised to work with everyone to ensure victory for the NDC in 2020.
She said: “We’re still together, to us, it was an internal election and, so, nobody lost and nobody won, NDC won and NPP lost. Come 2020, as a team we shall go to the battle and bring back victory.”
Dr Bissiw won with 446 votes to depose the incumbent Hajia Zaynab Mahama who had 252 votes. The other contenders, Hajia Tawa Zakari and Margaret Chiravira, managed to get 16 and 11 votes, respectively.

Ndc took Ghanaians to 8 years of hardship and that one was ok fir the ndc right, kwas*ea baa ! 18 months of NPP hardship is far better than 8 years of ndc paradise. Who cares about lazy ndc going through hardship? NADAA is not and will not share Ghana's money among some few people like the ndc did for you to get a 2 story building at the expense of Ghanaians. NADAA will mot allow his appointees to create l000*00t and share like the ndc and John mahama did. Hannah Bissiw are you not enjoying stable electricity power? Hannah Bissiw are you not enjoying the reduction of electricity tariffs? Hannah Bissiw are students of your constituency not part of the FREE SHS program? Hannah Bissiw are those caterers in your constituency crying for none payment of their services like your ndc dud to them? Hannah Bissiw are final year students of the teachers and nurses colleges staying home without working like your ndc did since 2011? if these have been rectified and working in your constituency then May the Almighty God Punish you and your generation. Okuraseni baa, look at what is hanging around her neck like a puppy, you look like a dead body standing in state. I wonder how this thing could win the hearts of women for her dying party. I pity those ndc delegates who collected money from this woman, since she will come back for her money after ndc defeat in 2020. Mo nim owuo a mo nhw3 3na! this woman did the same to her constituency clinic after she lost that seat. Tweeeaaa! is she coequal to madam Gyamfoa papabi, Obaa pa Gyamfoa! civil and cultured, hardworking and self made! Hannah Bissiw we are waiting for you! Bring your nkurasesem and ***barred word*** and we are ready to go into the gutters with you ! After Madam Faustina Nelson and Awura Abena who were attractive to women, ndc hasn't got anyone else! those they bring are very annoying and unattractive because of their unc*ultured nature ! anyway, ndc immediate former women organizer was civil.
This girl has completely lost it.She needs help.
Just look at how you are dressed, this is so bad , can this be a good example for our youth? As for you guys , you are finished with people like this as executive of your party. No wonder the other lady contender said on Asempa Ekosi Sen as for her she was brought up properly so she doesn't insult.
Kofi, you and who? Ghanaians voted overwhelmingly, humiliatingly unprecedented in this country to send a so called sitting president home to eat his wife's food. We don't like ndc and John mahama we Loooove Nana! everyone loves Naaana, Africans Loooove NADAA, EUROPE love NADAA, America love NADAA . Di wo hene, di wo hene! won besu ara awu !efata wo, 3s3 wo ! he he he he!
OK, also lie and let's see whether you will win power. You people have failed to realise that the Ghanaian voter is now very discerning. Whilst the Ghanaian voter has moved on, NDC is still stuck in the 1990s where insults, deception and vote buying won elections.
This fulllllish woman always talks as if she walks with head. No sen*e and pure insults. We shall retain your corrupt party in opposition for God knows when. You continue on that tangent.

That is the number dress in town. I really love it. No more question unless you are a humanizer
All those going about defending any government in the of politics is what is killing the country . When we talk about borrowing , yes everyone owes some way some how but the big question is are we using the money wisely ? What have we done with the loans in order to permanently solve our problems and eventually put a stop to the borrowing ? Secondly , are politicians and government rendering proper accounts to the taxpayers ? No . Are we the taxpayers vigilant enough to question government to render proper accounts ? No . Why ? We are blinded by party colors . Then are we fooooolsss ? Yes . . What should we do ? Good question ....Whether you are NDC or NPP we all need to be discussed .Hold government to account . The private sector much check government projects and determine whether it value for money . That makes you a reasonable Ghanaian not those who will go defense of the politicians
