The Member of Parliament for Assin Central Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has stated emphatically that, the people of Assin are naturally born bad and at the same time lazy.
According to him, the people of Assin have negative mindset that does not auger well for the development of the area.
Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong made this comments in a one on one interview with Alfred Amoh on an Assin Fosu based radio station Nkwa 88.1fm.
According to the Assin Central lawmaker cum financier of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), he built a factory at his hometown Assin Dompim but the people of Assin didn’t patronize it and rather stole the electrical panels on the machines which has left the machines useless.
“I cultivated about 598 acres of rice which stretched from Assin Dompim to Assin Asempaneye with 800 workers but at the end, they didn’t even harvest 1000 bags of rice.
You see that the Assin Nyankomasi fruit factory has also not functioned efficiently. One of the farmers said when he brought his oranges the guys who loaded the produce were not paid so he’s sending his produce to others in Burkina Faso. If you don’t change your bad mindset, I can only doll out gifts to you as I always do but will never again invest heavily in infrastructure in this area,” an incensed Ken Agyapong fumed.

You don't even know due diligence and you call yourself a business man. Politics has made you easy money so you find it difficult going legit.
Dear Ken, don't be surprise at the behavior of people close to you. It is the very people close to you either by birth, environment or otherwise who plan evil about you. The very people you are helping with what God has given you are the same people who will do horrible things to you. With all the evil in the hearts of close people, God in his own providence continue to bless you. Note that, your blessings do not come because of the approval of men, but from God himself. Don't focus on what people can do to you, but trust in the abundance of God. Ken, my second point is on the issue of the Church. I heard you once say you were brought up as a Methodist with faith in Jesus Christ. In the same way as close ones can distract you from doing what is in your heart to benefits many, likewise, members of the Church, either the laity or the clergy can be a stumbling block to your growth in Christ Jesus. Note that, Christianity is not where you go, but rather WHO(Jesus) is in your life. With Jesus Christ in your life, who is the hope of glory, consider attending Church again, because that is what your inner man is itching for. Don't forget your roots, Methodism where Jesus Christ is the focus of our lives. Listening to you always, I see that, God in the person of Holy Spirit is always at your door knocking. He has endowed you with so much for your family, your community, your local Methodist Church at Assin Dompim (the community you love so much), and Ghana. Unfortunately, all these are distractions to distract you from what God wants to accomplish in you. Finally, Ken, always read your Bible prayerfully under the inspiration of Holy Spirit, because He is the Divine Teacher, and He will help you to the living water. Remember one thing, "everything will pass away, but God's Word lives forever".
