The Member of Parliament for the Efutu Constituency in the Central Region has condemned the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for attacking COP Maame Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
Maame Tiwaa Addo-Danquah seems to have stepped on the wrong foot of the NDC after a letter from her office invited the National Chairman of the NDC, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo to answer to allegations leveled against him which bothers on kidnapping and fire outbreak.
The NDC outraged by this invitation threw shades at Maame Tiwaa Addo-Danquah; accusing her of doing the bidding of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
They insist they will not allow their Chairman honour the invitation.
However, Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin does not understand why the NDC is attacking the Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
According to him, "the NDC is also being overly emotional. Targeting Tiwaa won’t solve the problem . . . deal with the Police Service; don’t isolate her and criticize her. Tiwaa takes instruction from the IGP; so why not focus on him. The NDC should get its propaganda right."
Afenyo-Markin who was contributing to a panel discussion on Thursday's edition of Peace FM morning show 'Kokrokoo' added: "NDC should behave like they’ve been in government before . . . they should be matured. It is wrong to make that announcement that we will not allow our Chairman to go; you are rather undermining the democracy of this country".
