Mame Yaa Aboagye, a Deputy Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has called on women of the Party to lead the campaign for the 2020 general election.
She challenged them not to be complacent ahead of election 2020 but rather work extra hard to ensure NPP emerged victorious to continue its good works.
To her, the party is poised for victory and urged the women’s wing, as well as other identifiable lady groups within the party, to forge ahead in unity to support the government.
Mame Yaa Aboagye was speaking at a one day meeting held with 47 Constituency Women Organizers and othe female identifiable groups of the Ashanti Region as part of preparations toward the 63rd Independence anniversary which will be hosted by the region on Independence Day, 6th March, 2020 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and also to reenergize the women’s caucus for election 2020 and beyond.
She also indicated that naturally, women appealed better to the conscience of people than men hence women of the party should use that skill to help the party in the 2020 elections.
Maame Yaa therefore challenged the women to reach out to every voter, tell the success story of the government to every Ghanaian to convince them to vote overwhelmingly to renew its mandate citing the flagship Free Senior High School, NABco, Planting for food and jobs, 1D1F etc.
She also urged them to continue working hard for the party, and ultimately the country, and also admonished them to stay united and focused on the quest to secure four more years for our hardworking President, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, to do more of the good things he is already doing.
She was in the company Nana Ama Poku, Deputy CEO, Eximbank; Maame Yaa Akyamaah, Deputy National Communications Director; as well as other distinguished NPP women activists.
