Today marks Ghana's 63rd Independence anniversary.
This year, the celebration was held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
According to reports, over 100 guests were invited to the event including the country's former heads of state.
However, the only former President present at the celebration was former President John Agyekum Kufuor.

150 FOREIGN DIGNITARIES took time out of their busy schedule to attend even though they are not Ghanaians. A former Ghanaian president who is currently the flag bearer of NDC who wants to comeback as a president could not spare the time to attend. Sometimes I wonder who are the advicers of this man. If you want to rule a country and yet show such level of disrespect for the independence day of the country that you want to rule, do you realize the amount of votes that will cost you and more so the negative perception that you are creating for yourself on the international scene and among global leaders? Very very sad indeed because it appears he have learned nothing for all the years that he has been in politics.
