A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications team, Bernard Anim Piesie says it is only the grace of God that has kept the country's death rate of COVID-19 low.
"Left to the measures put in place by the government in power, the death rate would have skyrocketed. It is God's favor that is keeping our death rate lower than compared to other countries," he further explained.
Anim Piesie, speaking as a panelist on UTV's 'Adekye Nsroma' political discussion show, noted that the country should by now have had at its disposal a rapid testing kit to enable quick testing leading to fast process of recovery.
"Government must come out to tell us what is delaying the rapid testing kits promised to be introduced soon, I don't think it is due to the lack of funds, because COVID-19 has generated a lot of funds for itself to be used," he said.
The NDC communicator urged the government of the day to be truthful to citizens on its activities than being interested in hiding the truth every time.
Ghana's Covid-19 death roll now stands at 54.
