The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has sighted a flippant statement signed by the General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), on comments made by Bryan Acheampong, Member of Parliament for the Abetifi Constituency and Minister for Food and Agriculture while addressing some party supporters in the Eastern Region which the NDC describes as treasonable.
The NPP finds the NDC's statement not only ill- founded, hypocritical, illogical, and baseless, but also one that lacks contextual substance for the consumption of the discerning Ghanaians who are not oblivious to the modus operandi of the main opposition party in deliberately putting diabolic and mischievous slant to an otherwise innocuous comments such as the comments made by the Member of Parliament, in furtherance of their selfish political interest.
"Since the NDC pretends not to appreciate and logically decode Bryan's message, we would once again educate them, just as we have done on many occasions. For the avoidance of doubt. Hon Bryan Acheampong, was responding to the NDC's perpetual flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, who had on many occasions described the 2024 general elections as one of "do or die" for the NDC. It is, in fact, a no secret that the NDC has always resorted to violence and intimidation against their opponents during the conduct of general elections, and this was summed up by their 2024 presumptive presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama," a statement signed by the General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong stated.
According to the NPP, John Mahama has stated emphatically that: "NDC has revolutionary root, and that when it comes to unleashing violence, nobody can beat us [NDC] in unleashing violence".
He added that other leading members of the NDC, including Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the National Chairman of the Party, have made similar threatening and malicious comments.
The NPP considers the NDC's attack on Bryan Acheampong not only unwarranted but also attention seeking with an ill attempt to emotionally blackmail Ghanaians to court their support.
"From the foregoing, if anybody has to be arrested by the Police for treasonable comments, then certainly it is John Dramani Mahama for his continuous 'Do or die for the NDC' in reference to the 2024 general elections, and Asidedu Nketiah for his brazen proclamation that members of the NDC are willing to sacrifice their lives to win the 2024 elections," he added.

Na I figa say, this man get brain 4 in head inside ooo, not knowing na ***barred word*** wey edey inside.
Hahaha don't worry, your eyes will clear soon and your comments will change entirely. Now you think following ***barred word*** will manipulate results. NDC will win the elections hands down my people so these try your lucky threats are just confirm they've lost power. You have no idea how we wish npp was out of power. Ah you people mess up to think breaking the 8 is real .. so funny
If Ghana wants to progress economically and in democracy, the NDC as a political party should urgently be taken out of the equation. It is therefore very critical and embellished for the NPP to succeed in breaking the ''eight''. The NDC, as a political party, is not fit to be in the democratic space given its mischievous modus operandi in that space. The basic principle of democracy in the multi-party system of competition for the best policies to improve the lives of the electorate is totally misplaced by the NDC in the competition. A political party that relies on propaganda, defamation, and discrediting of the opposing party to gain political power can only sustain the power gained through kleptocracy. Corruption becomes the order of the day.
All of you are not serious if John Mahama's do or die is not commendable so is Bryan Acheampong's 'use whatever means necessary to remain in power in the 2024 general election. He added that if the NDC dares to use threats, and brute force in the 2024 election, the NPP will show them that they have the men.' Do you two parties think Ghana is your bona fides? You are just greedy and self centred readuy to chop the nation small. You must get off our way.
