Former Central Regional Minister, Kwamena Duncan is worried Attorney General (AG), Godfred Dame might have an "avalanche" of requests following his intervention in the Adisadel College assault saga.
Godfred Dame has called on the Ghana Police Service to initiate an investigation for possible prosecution in the case in which a student of Adisadel College is seen bullying a fellow student in a viral video.
Even though "it is within his (AG) power", Kwamena Duncan however believes going forward, others might expect him to do same when such incident occurs again.
Contributing to a panel discussion on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo', Kwamena Duncan said: "My only worry is his direct call for the investigation and eventual prosecution".
"Attorney General is also an old boy but my fear on his part is his intervention after watching the video and maybe he's not driven or motivated by his association with the school...then there might be going forward an avalanche because every video that might emerge in the future as an Attorney General you must call for police investigations and all of that."
"It is within his power but my worry is that this is the first time we are getting something like that; where an Attorney General has watched a video and he's calling on the police for investigation. Not just calling for investigation but investigation in order to build a docket; a prosecutable one. So in future, even if you don't watch the video, you'll get people calling on you to intervene; that is the avalanche," he added.

Hmm Bullying in any form leaves bad taste in my mouth! It must be stopped by all means... Seems most parents are failing in their roles. This can result from bad parenting. The bully didn't turn a bully overnight. He started from home! He bullied in primary, JSS and now SSS. I cannot get the viral video from my head and it is really disturbing. As a mother who has a son who is verbally and socially bullied, I see the effects and it is emotionally damaging. Please let us discourage it. This is what we have seen, lots more go on and it is unreported because there were no Cameras to record. Very sad.
The AG's move is a "smart move" to cover-up the 1million Dollars, 300 Cedis and plenty Cedis saga
Mr Duncan, bullying is a crime and must be stopped. I heve seen a young boy died through bullying at secondary school during my time in Sunyani. An intelligent boy was asked to open his mouth and a hot water from a kettle was poured into his mouth and he died later. If kwamena agrees that, if without any reason, someone confronts you and starts to beat you is a crime, then why not this one by this student? It must STOP, period. There is no sense in what Kwamena is saying. Crime is a crime and there must be justice for the victim and to deter it. Attorney General's approach is a step in the right direction. Bullying at school and workplace must not be tolerated. It kills.
