A member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Richard Amoako Baah says his party is on its way to opposition after openly condemning the Stephen Ntim-led leadership.
He claimed the party’s just-ended presidential primary was conducted to favour one aspirant whom the majority did not like.
Dr Richard Amoako Baah who was discussing the aftermath of his party’s internal election that saw Dr Mahamudu Bawumia emerging as NPP’s new flagbearer said he was not happy with the entire process.
He told NEAT FM’s morning show, 'Ghana Montie' that Members of Parliament who openly declared their support for Dr Bawumia are cowards and did that for their interest.
“There is too much stupidity and hooliganism in the party now. How can almost all MPs support one candidate, how is that possible? Is it by chance or accident, certainly not,” he vented, adding, “the future of the NPP is not looking good”.

Very Bitter Man! Aw!
Another bitter old man after losing an election. Will you be saying that if you had won. Soar loser.
They can bleed for all we care, if you claim to be a party member you need to know how best to wash your dirty cloth outside, what happen to Ken should be a lesson that all should learn from ,you shouldn't expect the love after all the insults publicly and run on the ticket of the NPP
Do you still pay attention to this guy? He is damm bitter which is eating him up and some of these intellectuals who think they know it all should rather think!!
Some of these so called intellectuals are very disappointing. After the super delegates, they claimed it was the top of the party so Bawumia wil see his size on nov 4 where overt 200,000 grassroots will decide. Well folks, nov 4 came and the result is pretty much the same as the super delegates. So where is your beef? DMB won comfortably. Ken basically got Alan’s vote. He cannot be over praised. Alan supporters were never going to vote DMB. So Ken benefited from the situation. Bawumia has won. Get over it Professor.
A disappointment old and retired Lecturer
Ah, so where from this? Did something happen in the party that we don’t know of?
This election has taught some of us a lesson about the party, If Hon Ken can be treated like a devil in the party then who are mine? The man who has used his personal resources to help both party and the country can be treated this way by his own party members, people he has fed before, clothes before openly insulting him left right center, eiiiiiiiiiii Npp, very very ungrateful politicians. Opposition is definitely your portion in next year’s elections.
Amoako Baah, if the NPP goes to opposition, so what? Is it a death sentence to lose an election?
Does Richard Amoako Baah think the MPs that supported Bawumia do not have common sense of their own? Are they not of themselves? NPP is a liberal democratic party and believes in choosing its leaders democratically. No one is anointed to become a flagbearer. The fact that Alan, your preferred candidate, did not get support from some MPs does not make those who supported Bawumia ***barred word*** and hooligans.
