The Bolewura has promised to canvass 75 percent of votes from the Bole area for John Mahama in the December 7, 2024 presidential election.
Speaking during a courtesy call on him by Mr Mahama, the paramount chief of Bole, Bolewura Sarfo Kutuge Feso I charged his chiefs and the people of the Bole Traditional Area to lead the campaign for their kinsman, John Dramani Mahama, as President in the 2024 elections.
He stated that there is a clear difference between a friend and a relative.
He urged his sub-chiefs and subjects to ensure that Mahama and the NDC secure nothing less than 75% of total votes in the Bole area.
According to the Bolewura, the 2024 election is also about empowering the chieftaincy institution, especially in Gonjaland, and John Mahama is the leader who can guarantee that empowerment for Gonja chiefs.
The chief also expressed his delight in welcoming his son, yet again, to his palace because he was concerned for the development of Bole and the Savannah region.
This is the point we’ve reached; it is time to bring back honour to Bole and Gonjaland by leaving no stone unturned to bring prestige to the Bole Traditional Area, he added.
Mr Mahama spent the first three days of the new year in his hometown of Bole.
During his stay, he organized a get-together for the Savanna regional and constituency executives.
With the support of his wife, Lordina, the Mahama family also provided hot meals for children and held meetings with the branch executives of the Bole Constituency of the NDC.

The Bolewura has spoken his mind. The Walewale chief should also implore his people to also vote for Bawumia. Very disappointed in the Bolewura’s speech though.
Hmmmm, the framers of the 1992 constitution had good reasons by barring Chiefs from taking part in active politics. The Bole wura has forgotten that there are indigenes in his traditional area who belong to other political parties other than the NDC. If a different political party( other than his preferred NDC) goes ahead to win the 2024 elections what happens. Can you blame the president for refusing to honor any invitation to attend your festivals? If i know you don't like me, why should i sit by you? What prevented the Bole wura from just wishing John Mahama well in his quest to want to be president again. Chiefs in Ghana must behave as " fathers for all " . You never can tell what will happen in the next one minute. Such unguided utterances is what is making some Chiefs lose their respect in the eyes of some of their subjects.
