Celebrity stylist and fashion designer, Elikem Kumordzi has remarked that the celebrity culture in Ghana is not rich.
Speaking in an exclusive interview, Elikem Kumordzi averred that the fashion sense of celebrities has gone down in recent times especially when it comes to fashion on the red carpet in Ghana.
Comparing Ghana to other countries, Elikem Kumordzi said he has traveled wide and in South Africa the celebrity culture is rich and respected because when you are invited to make an appearance for an event, they consider your wardrobe and pay you for it, so it allows you time, space and the funds to create something worthwhile in Ghana.
On the other hand, in Ghana, he hosted the red carpet show for a movie awards scheme and he was paid twelve months later and the money was not even to the agreed amount so how does he look good if he is not paid on time.
The Big Brother Africa star added that on the red carpet celebrities are not enthusiastic and motivated enough to show a certain type of ‘face’ when it comes to clothing.
