The Film Producers Association of Ghana (FIPAG) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ghana Association of Film Television and Arts (GAFTA) to cooperate and make the Ghanaian Film sector a better one.
With recent altercation between FIPAG and foreign production houses who step into Ghana to shoot movies without the necessary permission, both associations (FIPAG and GAFTA) found it necessary to team up and work together.
GAFTA as an association well known to a lot of foreign production houses due to the old personalities involved and their long contribution to the sector will henceforth collaborate with FIPAG to bring sanity to the foreign production front.
With the MOU in place, both FIPAG and GAFTA will be in the know about all productions from both local and international companies that go on in Ghana as FIPAG intends to document all productions effective next year 2015.
