According to credible information available to Peacefmonline.com all is set for the mush anticipated #Dumsormuststop vigil to come off as planned after several deliberations among the organizers, the various Ga Traditional councils and the respective security agencies.
Even though the organizers have not released an official statement to this effect, some celebrities who are in full support of the vigil have hinted preparations so far for the Saturday show down.
Aside the unnecessary politicization of the #Dumsormuststop campaign which is creating unhealthy division in the creative acts industry thus affecting the real purpose of the public outcry over shameful power crisis situation in Ghana, the campaign is still strongly on going and from what Peacefmonline.com has gathered, the organizers are not moved because they are determined to hit the street come Saturday May 16, 2015.
Socio-Political Musician Barimah Sydney who is a strong advocate of the #Dumsormuststop vigil shared some information on social media revealing that organizers have finally been given the green light to go on with the vigil on the scheduled date and he also revealed a new venue to serve as converging point for the vigil after University of Ghana authorities and operators of Legon ON THE RUN disallowed organizers from using their respective premises.

Actress Yvonne Nelson together with some celebrities, announced their intention to embark on the vigil on May 16 to protest the power crisis, referred to locally as ‘Dumsor’, the event has been rocked with series of challenges.
Yvonne Nelson, Sarkodie, Lydia Forson, DKB and others were accused of doing the bidding of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) - an accusation they have all blatantly denied.
The Ga Traditional Council petitioned the Greater Accra Regional Police Command to stop the vigil during to the ban on drumming and noise in some parts of Accra. The police after giving organizers the go-ahead made a U-turn to put the permit on hold after a meeting with Nana Kwasi Awuah and Kofi Bentil, lawyers for the celebrities.
However protest leader Yvonne Nelson have assured her fans and Ghanaian that despite the numerous challenges, a planned vigil against the current power crisis will come off as planned. Some of the celebrities in the creative arts such as Sarkodie, Lydia Forson, Kwaw Kese, Trigmatic, E.L., Joselyn Dumas, D Black, Ama K. Abebrese, Confidence Haugen, Barimah Sydney, Efya, Nikki Samonas, Deborah Vanessa, Eddie Watson, DKB, and Van Vicker have pledged their support for what is gradually becoming a national rage.
