The director of the Creative Arts Council and daughter of President Akufo-Addo, Gyankromah Akufo-Addo, has said her critics will soon acknowledge her impact on Creative Arts Council.
In March this year, the Tourism Minister, Cathrine Afeku, inaugurated a Creative Arts Council with a task to revise, ratify and implement the Creative Arts Bill and its passage into Law.
The council is headed by Gyankroma Akufo-Addo. Her appointment drew some criticism among members of the opposition party and industry players who questioned her background and efficiency in the Creative Arts Industry. But Gyankromah Akufo-Addo in an interview with Starr news said she was put there because of her competence as an individual and not because she is the daughter of the President.
“My father is very passionate about the creative art and I have always wanted to make my father proud, and in this stance I’m not there as his daughter but I’m there as someone he knows can do the job, who is qualified for the job and knows can do the job; has the experience for the job and passionate about the job. And my proof is to prove to my President that I’m capable of doing it”.

When I write, I say the truth and unless you are not observant you should know my party colours. But pals, let speak the truth so somebody will change the strategy now instead of keeping quiet and we go down. Like one of the contributors said, they (OUR Presidents)all do start well somehow and then start to commit similar or near similar mistakes. Granted that the daughter is even the most qualified, there are other good job, she can do without necessarily be in the limelight, early as it is and if she wants to build a political career, I do not think this might be the right path and time. The serious issue setback of our politics and as such the western style of democracy is the funding of political parties. This issue must be raised at the highest level and dealt with otherwise our Presidents, past, present and the future will always have to do an INTENSIVE BALANCING GAME. It is like using your two hands and throwing fours balls into the air at intervals. My advice to my President is to be circumspective and balance these balls very well else Ghanaians as we are will no longer judge you on your performance and competence but these sort of issues as they are about and now thinking how to put it in the "PROPAGANDA MACHINERY"
@funny, have guys looked at America at all. Governance is about trust and loyalty my dear. U don't go and bring opposition into places when u know their work is to hurt your leaderships
Observers are worried......i trust you to delover so keep going girl
so some people will prefer she stays at home doing nothing and gallivanting the world over which she can because her father is the president than working for Ghana?
as for me I only want to see change in my beloved country,i don't care who does it
chale nana addo is working but his plan and strategy is to milk Ghanaian's so that whoever helped push his agenda since 2008 till now, he ought to fill their pockets . kinfa family thing aswear , bah me i want your daughter mr presido the one in blue chale,if i bore her smile go make i smile. well let's say my national cake that boy will treasure .
My question is can't she head her Dad legal firm? Surprise not REALLY! Kuffour appointed his brother, Late Mills same ,Mahama his brother was working for Ghana ...Akuffo Addo brother, cousin etc its family affairs if they will MAKE Ghana Great again why not. But sometimes 3y3 ta3....
No conflict of interest right. Ghana is a funny country.
