Floyd Mayweather Jnr’s uncle Roger Mayweather expects him to do away with Manny Pacquiao in their fight on May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Pacquiao has been sharing the spotlight with Mayweather more or less for the past six to seven years with his wins over guys like Ricky Hatton, Oscar De La Hoya and Miguel Cotto.
Pacquiao hasn’t fought Mayweather Jnr, and the May 2 bout will determine which one of the two fighters will be officially crowned as the number one fighter in the sport.
Mayweather has kind of been given the crown unofficially by many boxing fans due to his unbeaten record, his superior opposition he’s faced, his undefeated record and his bigger pay-per-view numbers.
Now it’s Pacquiao’s chance to prove whether he’s in Mayweather’s league or not by trying to beat him in their fight.
“My nephew, he’s going to get rid of Pacquiao,” Roger Mayweather said via esnewsreporting.com.
Pacquiao meanwhile, has arrived in Los Angeles to be met with the accusation that he has 'losing in his mind' ahead of the May 2 bout.
But Mayweather has taken another swipe at his long-time rival ahead of the mega fight.
“That only thing I know is win, so is losing in the back of his mind? Absolutely! Why? Because he probably lost three or five times before, so losing is in his mind,” he told Fight Hype. “Losing is not in my mind because the only thing I know how to do is win.”
“When you look at the tale of the tape, I have a longer reach, I'm taller, I'm stronger and I'm more accurate.
“I use a little bit of everything. I use my reach, I use my height, I use my movement; I use different techniques, whereas he's not as versatile as Floyd Mayweather. I think that's the difference between us two”
