West African Union Lightweight Champion Michael Ayittey is demanding 30,000 Ghana cedis from promoters- Box Officer Promotions and Syndicate- before mounting the ring against American-based Ghanaian boxer Samir Bastie.
Talks between the two boxers have reached a crescendo but might hit a snag due to the demands of tough talker Ayittey Powers.
This was confirmed to Sportscrusader.com by the CEO of Box Office Promotions and Syndicate, Alex Ntiamoah.
“Ayittey is demanding 30,000 Ghana cedis for the fight, we are still negotiating because we think is too outrageous an amount for a fight.
“So we have started renegotiating again and we are hoping that things will be settled amicably, for Samir we don’t have a problem because he has agreed to fight and also agreed with a said amount”.
