Ghana’s Samuel Takyi secured progress to the quarter-finals of the men’s 52-57 Kg featherweight boxing on Wednesday morning.
Takyi, 20, dominated his opponent throughout the 5 rounds of the bout to leave no doubt in the mind of the judges to declare him the unanimous winner.
The young boxer, who has targeted winning gold at the event, becomes the second Ghanaian boxer to advance to the next round after Black Bombers captain, Sulemanu Tetteh qualified to the Round 4 stage two days ago.
