Boxing legend Professor Azumah Nelson says he has recovered fully, a few weeks after he was involved in a motor accident on the Kaneshie-Mallam road.
The former world-beater, who was admitted to the Korle-Bu Hospital soon after the accident, has been discharged and is doing great, health-wise.
Daily Guide Sports chanced upon the boxing professor at Roman Ridge in Accra last Wednesday; and responding to how he was faring, he said, “I am doing great by the grace of God, and as you can see, I am very healthy. It wasn’t as critical as it was reported, though the taxi cab that ran into my vehicle was seriously damaged.”
Nelson, a Boxing Hall of Famer and former world champion, was negotiating a turn to Kwashieman from Sakaman, both Accra suburbs, in his 4X4 Ford Explorer when a Nissan Almera taxi cab hit the right side of his back door.
