AshantiGold face a nervous finish to the Glo Premier League as they slip close to the relegation zone after been hit with a Disciplinary Committee decision, deducting them points.
A protest by Mighty Jets against the Miners for playing in a different stripe in their match-day-25 fixture on April 24, 2011 at the Akosombo Park was upheld by the Disciplinary Committee.
The DC's ruling released yesterday deducted AshantiGold 3 points and 3 goals, which sees them drop from second to eighth on the standings and three points above the relegation zone.
Mighty Jets on the other move up from the bottom three to 10th as they try to avoid the drop after been credited with 3 points and 3 goals.
The latest twist see the Miners join Real Tamale United, Wa All Stars, Liberty Professionals, Berekum Arsenals, Mighty Jets, King Faisal and Ebusua Dwarfs in a massive scrap in the final two games beginning Sunday that could determine whether they play in the elite division or the second tier of Ghana football.
