Stoke City are set for a 10 million swoop for Sunderland star Asamoah Gyan, according to the Daily Mirror.
Tony Pulis' FA Cup finalists are looking to bolster their ranks ahead of a season that will see the Potters compete in the Europa League.
An agent has reportedly touted Gyan's availability via email and Tottenham have already been strongly linked to the Ghanaian's signature.
However, Sunderland chairman Niall Quinn has dismissed the email, insisting that it has anything to do with the club and that Gyan is not for sale.
Stoke and Sunderland have done plenty of business with each other in the past, notably last summer when Kenwyne Jones left the Black Cats to join Stoke for a club record fee of 8m, which could be broken by Gyan's potential arrival.
Gyan made a total of 33 appearances last season for the Black Cats, scoring 11 goals after joining the club from Rennes.
