Former Ghana international Samuel Osei Kuffuor says calls for Stephen Appiah to return to the Black Stars must stop because "he can't play football for the rest of his life."
Appiah quit international football after the 2010 Nations Cup and has refused to rule out a return following calls in certain quarters for him to be considered for national team duties again.
But former Bayern Munich defender Samuel Osei Kuffuor says those calls are misplaced.
"He has done his part and done it very well. He was with the Black Stars when I was there, he has been the captain. He can't play for the rest of his life. It will happen to everybody and then they will have to stop at some point. Anthony Yeboah, Abedi Pele all left at a point. We hailed Polo some time back but he is not playing again. So we should just let him enjoy his time out," Kuffuor said.
