Inter Milan misfit Sulley Muntari has been handed an opportunity to convince new coach Claudio Ranieri of his qualities.
Former Cheslea boss Ranieri was officially announced as the new man for the 2010 European champions on Thursday.
The Ghana midfielder has struggled to settle at the San Siro the last two seasons and nearly exited the club this summer.
Sacked coach Gian Piero Gasperini used the 27-year-old once in his last but one game in-charge.
Muntari was a 79th minute substitute for new signing Diego Forlan and was booed any time he touched the ball.
He was however left out of the squad who suffered a 3-1 defeat at promoted Novara on Tuesday night.
Muntari has been excluded from Inter Milans Uefa Champions League squad for the season.
