Asante Kotoko coach Maxwell says hes surprised at his quick rise on the job.
The stock of the ex-Ghana international has risen quickly after making Kotoko an attractive side on the domestic scene in his first term in charge.
The Kumasi-based side is on the threshold of winning their first League title in four years and represents the West African country in Africas elite inter-club competition next term.
He has been strongly linked with the Black Stars assistant job role and the former All Stars boss says hes startled at the impact hes made.
To be honest with you I wasnt expecting this, Konadu said
When I took the job, I was not looking at making an impact in a short time. But here were.
I am very surprised and I believe the collective effort of everybody has helped us a lot,
Kotoko will seal their 22nd Premier League title if they negotiate their tie against struggling Berekum Arsenals on Sunday.
