Medeama Sporting Club are closing in on Eric Gawu as a replacement for striker Louis Agyemang, who is on his way to Ashanti Gold Football Club.
Talks are at an advanced stage and Gawu will sign by the close of next week, a board member of Ashanti Gold hinted Goal.com Ghana.
We will use him in the GHALCA Top 4, and we hope he will make it big in his return to local football.
The 29-year-old who played 16 times for Israeli side Bnei Sakhin last season, scoring twice has already made it clear that he wants to re-launch his career again in Ghana after finding it difficult to make an impact in the Israeli league.
The once prolific Gawu made his name with Kumasi King Faisal before being transferred to Accra Hearts of Oak in 2008 and later moved to Hapoel Ashkelon.
