Defender Samuel Inkoom will be named in Kwesi Appiah's squad for the 2014 World Cup qualifiers against Sudan and Lesotho, Ghana Sports can exclusively confirm.
The 23-year-old has been overlooked by Ghana since watching the Black Stars' 2-0 win over Malawi in the 2013 AFCON qualifier last September.
Kwesi Appiah has cited inactivity at club level for Inkoom's exclusion from his squad in the past but the versatile right-back's move to French Ligue 1 side Bastia seems to have changed things.
Ghana Sports can confirm Inkoom has been drafted into the Ghana squad for the game against Sudan and will arrive in Accra on Friday ahead of the trip to Omdurman next week.
With defenders Jonathan Mensah and Isaac Vorsah missing the game with injuries, Kwesi Appiah will fall on players who have been inconsistent for the defence department.
