Manager Jens Keller decided to leave him out as a precaution but could be available for their trip to Hoffenheim on Saturday after he returned to full scale training.
Boateng’s return will boost his chances of playing for the Black Stars ahead of the crucial World Cup play-offs first leg tie against the Pharaohs on October 15.
