Former Accra Hearts of Oak coach David Duncan has unleashed a scathing attack on the clubs' current Managing Director, Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe referring to the administrator's recent comments in the media regarding him (Duncan) as "a LIE dyed in the wool of the darkest dye".

It is likely the verbal war between the coach and the club administrator will go for sometime taking into consideration unresolved outstanding issues and the new twist of replies.

It is alleged that the Hearts of Oak MD, wanting to please the club's incensed fans, has been on record to have told a local radio station that he has tried his possible best to bring back Duncan, who was sacked in November last year but in a sharp rebuttal, the no-nonsense former Ashgold and Free State Stars coach, as usual, took to the social media to categorically deny the claims by Armstrong-Mortagbe.

Duncan wrote on his Facebook Page on 13th April 2014; "If Neil Armstrong Mortagbe indeed said in an interview captured on Asempa FM to the effect that he had made every effort to get back as Hearts coach, I wish to place on record that that is a LIE dyed in the wool of the darkest dye. These among other effusions made elsewhere I reiterate, are the EFFUSIONS OF A MAN WHO HAS COME TO HIS WITS' END. DESPERATE may be an understatement.

Amrstrong had earlier in this month told club supporters at a meeting that, hypocrisy and backbiting in the club will not help the development of the club saying “We shouldn’t allow the disunity to destroy the fortunes of our great club. In the nutshell what are we doing to ourselves because a Coach (David Duncan) was sacked, strongly I believe that shouldn’t be the reason for us to practice hypocrisy and Back-biting and I want this to stop with regards to this I am urging all the ardent fans of our noble club to desist from such activities which will dent the cherished reputation of the club that.

Mortagbe has been accused of being the brain behind the shocking dismissal of Duncan, prompting him to question his sincerity on his latest claims of hypocrisy and backbiting in the club and latest outburst from the former Ashantigold trainer amplifies the tension that exists between the two men as Duncan continues to battle the club for wrongful dismissal.
