The Premier League Board (PLB), has fixed match-day 23 fixture involving Accra Hearts of Oak and Heart of Lions for the Cape Coast Stadium following the fomer’s temporary ban from the Accra Sports Stadium.
The decision was taken due to the unfortunate incident when supporters of the club threw objects at the Match Officials during the Match day-21 game against Sekondi Hasaacas at their home grounds on July 5, which resulted in an injury to assistant referee 2 Badiu Issaka.
According to the GFA, the decision is in accordance with Article 15(2) of the GFA General Regulations which states that “the GFA may order the closure of any league centre where the safety of clubs, Match Officials or Spectators cannot be guaranteed”.
And in accordance with the provisions of Article 15(3) of the GFA General Regulations, the PLB was asked to determine the venue for the Club’s subsequent home matches.
The Phobians are currently sitting in the 12th position with nine matches to end the season.
