Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew has been named Barclays Premier League player of the month.
The Black Stars deputy skipper was shortlisted to compete for the best player for the month of August.
The 25-year-old beat off competitions from Swansea teammate Bafetimi Gomis as well as Manchester City duo Aleksander Kolarov and striker David Silva.
The Ghanaian international was able to surpass Manchester United defender Cris Smalling and Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez to win the top award.
Ayew has been impressive for Swansea since joining from French Ligue 1 side Olympique Marseille having scored three goals in four League appearances for the Walsh Club.
