Defensive midfielder Seth Opare says his efforts on the pitch have gone unnoticed because there is no one to speak about his qualities.
Opare, who is now a free agent after five seasons with Aduana Stars, told footy-ghana.com that team-mates like Stephen Adams and Godfred Saka are always landing fresh deals with the club because they have people talking up their qualities all the time.
“Whenever the season ends, many clubs will chase people like Stephen Adams and Godfred Saka because they always have people hyping them. Because of that, Aduana Stars will hurriedly give them fresh contracts. Meanwhile I play more games for the club and play well but because no one talks about me and so no club is interested in me.”
Opare also told footy-ghana.com that s of now, Aduana Stars have made no moves to give him a new contract.
“At the moment, my contract is up but we have been asked to report. I have not been offered a new deal and I don’t know what to do now, especially as no clubs have come in for me.”
Opare, who is considered as one of the best holding midfielders on the local scene, joined Aduana Stars in the second half of the 2009/2010 season and was part of the Premier League title winning squad that season.
