The Police command in the Western Region says they are determined to find the three girls kidnapped in the regional capital, Takoradi.
At a press briefing on Wednesday, 23 January 2019, the Western Regional Police Commander, DCOP Vincent Redeemer Dedzo, asked parents and the general public to have patience because "criminal investigations are a gradual process"
“They (kidnappers) go online to read the news and these kidnappers are professionals. When they realise some people have been arrested, they may go away and not come back to Ghana, but we can say we are making efforts and I know we will get to the bottom of this. For those who don’t know our procedures, you’ll be thinking it should happen tomorrow, but it is never done like that. Criminal investigations are a gradual process…” he noted.
So far three girls have been kidnapped even though some residents claim they (girls) are more than that.
The three are: 21-year-old Priscilla Blessing Bentum, last seen on 17 August 2018; 18-year-old Ruth Love Quayson, last seen on 4 December 2018; and 18-year-old Priscilla Mantebea Koranchie, last seen on 21 December 2018.

As for you Ghana Police, I don't know the kind of policing you practice! A foreigner has kidnapped your country women, you arrest him and I am sure, the guy "SORTED" out and crafted a cock and bull story and escaped cells. After, pressure from the parents, he is re-captured but he is not talking and you are raising your hands in despair....... The black man mentality in the police service will not help... Once it does not concern any big man, one of your own or ....... then it can be history.... You guys should go watch movies like 24 hours featuring Jack Bauer and some other movies where distract situations calls for drastic measures. Ghana infact, will one day be taken over by foreigners because of our hospitality, our politicians and Police. Some body should muster courage and get that guy talking what ever it takes.......the nation will stand by you when those human rights raise their ***barred word*** voices........ POLICE we need to trust and have confidence in you.....but for now, the least said about the police the better......Lest I forget, your western regional commander must be demoted or relieved off his duties.....
Mr. Prez we need to be secured in this country. U r failng us
Annoying!!! You arrest a suspect and allow the suspect to escape from cell. The parents visit your office for update and you ignore them. You are a waste and need to be sacked immediately.
